The Reality of Interior Design Pricing

This is not your mistake. Some large marketing companies, aiming to collect data, advertise interiors at ₹2.5 lakh on their web portals. This often confuses the public. When customers approach them to discuss details, they reveal a different story.

With over 20 years of experience, I can confidently say that in the last five years, across hundreds of our projects, the cost of interiors has never dropped below ₹1,800 per square foot (carpet area). Even at this rate, essential items like dining tables and chairs, curtains, wallpapers, lights, switches, appliances, and artifacts are not included.

In reality, these companies are playing with people’s emotions through misleading marketing tactics.

Affordable Furniture Solutions

We also offer ready furniture solutions. Our packages start at ₹2.21 lakh for a 1BHK and ₹3.51 lakh for a 2BHK. However, these are not categorized as interior packages. They serve as a good option for clients who do not have the full budget for complete interiors. We clearly and honestly specify what is included in our packages.

Interiors can vary greatly. Some clients understand this well and happily choose our services. However, many fall victim to the misleading promotions of these online marketing companies.

Pricing Categories

For your reference, here are the category rates:

  • Regular: ₹1,800 per square foot (carpet area)

  • Standard: ₹2,200–₹2,500 per square foot (carpet area)

  • Gold: ₹2,800–₹3,500 per square foot (carpet area)

Civil work is not included in these rates. Both calculations and materials vary significantly in civil work. Therefore, the civil work quotation should be finalized only after a site visit.

Transparency in Quotations

We do not include any hidden or surprise charges in our quotations. However, some clients have shared experiences of major shocks with large marketing companies. For instance, false ceiling quotations may not include electrical work, painting might be excluded, and additional charges could arise after the work has already started. Unfortunately, such practices have become quite common nowadays.

If reading this message has taken your valuable time, I apologize. However, I hope this information will be helpful to you.

The Importance of Clarity

Now, let’s consider the implications of unclear quotations. Without including electrical work, how can a ceiling project be completed? And after the interior work is done, can you really move into your home without painting? This is a marketing trick. Initially, some costs are hidden to present a lower quotation. Once you’re committed, they know they can’t skip these essential items.

Conclusion

In conclusion, understanding the true costs of interior design is crucial. It’s important to work with a firm that values transparency and honesty. At Furnicare, we strive to provide high-quality interior design services while ensuring our clients are fully informed every step of the way.
